Sunshine Plaza will continue to remain open to service the Sunshine Community
Dear Sunshine Plaza Community
The Victorian Government has announced that the lockdown currently in place across Metropolitan Melbourne will be extended by another two weeks (until at least 11:59pm Thursday 2 September).
As has been the case throughout the pandemic period, Sunshine Plaza will remain open and trading during this lockdown, serving the essential needs of those that choose to visit us.
This lockdown has resulted in a few changes at Sunshine Plaza, with only essential goods and services permitted to trade during this time including:
- Supermarket, grocers, fresh food operators
- Restaurants and cafes for delivery and contactless takeaway only
- Medical Centres for appointments that cannot be undertaken virtually
- Bank branches
- Convenience stores and newsagents
- Laundry and dry cleaners
The Victorian Government has also announced that a curfew is now in place across metropolitan Melbourne, which will be in place from 9:00pm to 5:00am every night. This curfew means that some of our retailers may reduce or otherwise change their trading hours. We encourage you to contact retailers directly for the most recent information on individual retailers’ trading hours before visiting.
Please note that our café and restaurant retailers are permitted to remain open, offering takeaway and home delivery services only.
We are committed to supporting our community and retailers through this difficult time and appreciate your support.
